Happiness: Self-Care in Uncertain Times
These are uncertain times. Emotional instability and work insecurities are impacting more ASL-English interpreters and more deeply than ever before. This book discussion will use Mo Gawdat’s Solve for Happy: Engineer Your Path to Joy as a framework to explore self-care in on-going uncertain times where a new norm is forming. This book offers a step-by-step process to find enduring contentment with present situations and optimism for the future.
Happiness: Self-Care in Uncertain Times is a book discussion facilitated by Sandy Fritz. This interactive book discussion is for working and student interpreters.
By the end of this book discussion, you will be able to...
Discuss the 6-7-5 equation (grand illusions, blind spots, and ultimate truths)
Relate elements of the equation to interpreter self-care and evolving uncertain times associated with COVID-19
Evaluate past and current degree of contentment and optimism professionally and personally
Identify elements of the equation to apply to future self-care
